Solid Oxide Fuel Cells (SOFC)

During the last five years, members of the Electrochemical Power group have developed proprietary high conductivity heterogeneous electrolytes, and a tape-casting technique for processing the electrolytes in bilayer forms. The bilayer preforms have been processed into working SOFCs and evaluated using hydrogen and hydrocarbon fuels.
