Magnetic Materials Research Facilities

Below you will see a selection from the complete facilities we use to conduct magnetic materials research at UDRI. For more information, please contact Dr. Sam Liu.

Vacuum arc melting furnace,5 x 60 g. Isostatic press, up to 80 kpsi.

Dual tubes sintering furnace and heat treating system with vacuum, Ar, H2, or N2 atmospheres up to1220°C.

Vibrating sample magnetometer with accessories including high-temperature, cryogenic dewar, and temperature controllers, -170 to 750°C, 15 kOe.

Perkin-Elmer differential scanning calorimeter (DSC) 7, up to 730°C.
