Co-author of ‘Toyota Culture’
to lead workshop in Kettering
DAYTON, Ohio – Michael Hoseus, co-author of “Toyota Culture: The Heart and Soul of the Toyota Way,” will address the principles in his book during a daylong workshop June 15 at the National Composite Center, 2000 Composite Way in Kettering. The workshop, which is open to the public, will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is sponsored by the University of Dayton Research Institute’s Center for Competitive Change and UD’s Center for Leadership and Executive Development. The workshop fee is $295, and deadline for registration is June 3.
Hoseus was an assistant general manager of Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Georgetown, Ky, for several years, responsible for the selection, development, training and motivation of employees. He will provide insight into the development of the Toyota organizational culture, based on respect for employee, customer and community. He will also discuss the evolution of the Toyota Production System, a management philosophy that stresses the importance of best practices in employee selection, development and engagement in the workplace and serves as the foundation for the success of Toyota.
