Battery Test and Evaluation

The Electrochemical Power group is actively engaged in the evaluation of lithium ion cells and batteries for applications ranging from hybrid electric vehicles to specialized military applications. The evaluations include charge-discharge profiles in the -40 to 60ºC range, cell failure mechanisms and high rate performance. The size of the battery which are being evaluated varies from small cells (1-3 Ah) to modules (10 kW).
