Welcome to the UDRI Advanced Ceramics and Glasses Group Web site for structural ceramics property data.
Largely by sponsorship of the Department of Energy, through Oak Ridge National Laboratory, UDRI has generated extensive property data on numerous silicon nitrides and silicon carbides as an aid to designers selecting materials for advanced engine applications.
The site is continually updated as new property data is obtained. The Adobe Acrobat (.PDF) files contain graphs, images and summary data and the Excel files (.XLS) contain specific data for each sample of each material. These latter files can be used as input files for design software such NASA Glenn's CARES life prediction software.
