The Electrochemical Power group provides research and development expertise in the areas of fast ionic conductors, high-temperature superconductors, damping materials, and bio-compatible glasses. The group has developed lithium ion conductors which are being explored for commercial uses in rechargeable batteries. The group is also developing and characterizing membrane materials for fuel cells. Members of the group provide services for electrochemical and thermal characterization of polymers, composites, and ceramics.
