Mr. Bouchard has 21 years experience at UDRI in conducting and managing research and development projects for government and industry. As Division Head for the Aerospace Mechanics division, Mr. Bouchard has been responsible for the successful on-time, within budget completion of basic and applied research programs in structures, fuels and combustion, impact physics, human engineering, and web development. Effective April 23, 2007, Mr. Bouchard now serves as Division Head for Structural Integrity.
Prior to his appointment as Division Head, Mr. Bouchard served as Group Leader for the Structures group from 1996 through 2001. In this capacity he was responsible for programs in theoretical and computational mechanics, structural design and analysis, and experimental mechanics. Mr. Bouchard also has served as Principal Investigator on a variety of R&D programs, primarily in the fields of structural analysis and design, aircraft transparencies, and vibrations.
