Experience:

Dr. David Wang has over 15 years of experience in the areas of synthesis and characterization of high performance polymers and multiple-step monomer synthesis. He also has four years of experience in the area of surface functionalization of nanomaterials (nanotubes, nanofibers and nanodiamonds) and polymer nanocomposites. He has extensive analytical experience in the areas of NMR, FTIR, GPC, GC, UV-Vis, DSC, TGA, GC-MS, HPLC, SEM and X-Ray.  His other experience includes separation and purification technology and structural determination including distillation, recrystallization, thin layer chromatography and column chromatography.  He is an author on over 20 publications.

David is currently working on a variety of projects including synthesis of hyperbranched polymers with thermal reactive groups as high performance process aids and toughening agents, surface modification of carbon nanofibers, nanotubes and nanodiamonds, synthesis and characterization of polymer nanocomposites.
