Wolf Gets a Grimmy

Doug Wolf was named Outstanding Adult Literacy Volunteer during Project READ’s Grimmy Awards program in October 2007. The Grimmy Awards are presented to outstanding individuals and friends of literacy who have advocated for, or participated in, literacy programs in the Miami Valley. They are named after the character in Mike Peters’ daily comic strip, Mother Goose & Grimm. Peters, a life long literacy advocate and former Dayton resident, is Project READ’s Ambassador for Literacy. In his fourth year as a tutor with the Kettering City Schools Adult Literacy Program, Doug has helped countless students achieve their goals faster, and with greater understanding, than they ever thought possible. He brings his students a fresh perspective on math, and he often goes that extra mile to make himself accessible to students outside of the classroom.
